Dr. Sabina M. DeVita Ed.D., NNCP, D.N.M., CBP, DCSJ, IPSP, is a pioneering figure in the field of psychology with a specialization in ecological sensitivities, particularly "Brain or Cerebral Allergies" and their psychological implications. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1986, where her doctoral dissertation focused on the understanding of Body, Mind, and Spirit, which was groundbreaking work at the time. This research delved into the emerging issue of environmental sensitivities, also known as ecological illness or multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), which eventually led her on a new path toward holistic health. Driven by her personal journey to overcome health challenges and her own environmental sensitivities, Dr. DeVita's life took a transformative turn. She left her teaching career in the public education system and embarked on a mission to learn from alternative health experts, who later became her mentors and friends. Over two decades, she accumulated over 3,000 pages of notes, which would become the foundation of her first book. In her relentless pursuit of knowledge, Dr. DeVita became certified as a Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner, a Certified Specialized Kinesiology practitioner, and a doctor in natural medicine. She also acquired expertise in various kinesiology programs, including Touch for Health and Brain Gym. In the late 1990s, she delved into the world of organic, genuine, pure Essential Oils Sciences, incorporating these therapies into her private practice and teaching. In 2005, Dr. DeVita founded the DeVita Wellness Institute of Living & Learning, a clinic/day spa that has thrived for over 28 years. She went on to establish the Institute of Energy Wellness Studies, the only Canadian federally approved school offering a comprehensive program in aromatic sciences with Young Living essential oils, granting students recognized accreditation. She initiated the Integrated Aromatic Sciences program, drawing on her extensive studies with Dr. Gary Young N.D., incorporating Young Living Essential Oils into her practices and teaching.
