The Transcendent Mind: The Missing Peace in Emotional Wellbeing

PART 1  |  PART 2 >>

S y n o p s i s

Does contemporary psychotherapy truly succeed in addressing the various forms of emotional damage that many people endure throughout their lives? Or is it merely a temporary solution for a much deeper problem? In her new book, "The Transcendent Mind: The Missing Peace in Emotional Wellbeing," author Sunita Pattani argues that without comprehending the intricate connection between mind, body, and spirit, genuine healing remains elusive. The fusion of spirituality with the established science of traditional psychology can usher in a profound and transcendent comprehension of our existence and purpose, enabling us to lead more enriching and purposeful lives.

Pattani's exploration of the transcendent mind commenced with her study of the Course in Miracles, followed by her investigation into Jung's Collective Unconscious, Maslow's Peak Experiences, the Bhagavad Gita, and the belief in Brahman. Each of these sources embraced the concept of One Mind, an all-encompassing consciousness that permeates all living entities. Yet, the question lingered: how would this knowledge actually aid her patients in their healing journey? As she began to integrate this holistic approach into her practice, Pattani discovered that the notion of interconnectedness empowered many of her patients to gain a better understanding of their own purpose while guiding them toward a more profound and holistic emotional healing. She notes, "When we acknowledge our true selves and our core interconnectedness, we unlock the potential to alter our perspectives on challenging situations. We begin to perceive forgiveness through a different lens."

"The Transcendent Mind" guides readers through the four elements of the Transcendent Healing Process, which encompasses the significance of nutritional healing and how addressing our body's well-being can expedite the healing of our minds. The book also delves extensively into the phenomena of near-death experiences and out-of-body experiences, elucidating their contributions to our comprehension of the nature of our own reality.
